Macromill Awarded the Highest Rating (3 Stars) in “Eruboshi” Certification for Promoting Women’s Workplace Participation
Macromill, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & CEO: Toru Sasaki; hereinafter "Macromill") has been awarded the highest rating of three stars (Tier 3) in the "Eruboshi" certification, an official recognition granted by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to companies demonstrating excellence in promoting women's participation and advancement in the workplace.
Based on the Act on the Promotion of Women's Active Engagement in Professional Life, the "Eruboshi" certification is awarded by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare to companies that meet specific criteria for empowering women in the workforce. Ratings are granted on a three-tier scale based on how many of the five evaluation criteria are met: recruitment, continued employment, working hours and environment, ratio of women in management positions, and diverse career paths. Macromill was awarded the highest 3-Star certification for satisfying all five criteria.
■ Our Key Initiatives
In today's rapidly changing environment driven by the advancement of technologies such as AI, Macromill believes that "unique human value" is the true source of sustainable growth, and accordingly, we have been promoting an environment where diverse talent can excel. We are committed to ensuring that employees can work healthily and build diverse career paths long-term, regardless of changing life stages.
[ Creating Equitable Opportunities and Supporting Diverse Career Paths ]
- Proactive Promotion and Career Support for Female Managers (Female Manager Ratio: 24%):
As of July 2026, our female manager ratio stands at 24%, significantly exceeding the Information and Communications industry average of 14.2%*1. We support proactive career development by showcasing diverse role models, such as hosting career roundtable sessions featuring female managers. - Eliminating the Gender Gap in Recruitment:
We maintain a roughly 50-50 gender ratio in recruitment, ensuring fair hiring and equal opportunities regardless of gender.
[ Balancing Work with Life Events (Childcare and Nursing Care) ]
- Building a Support System for Return from Parental Leave (100% Return Rate):
We have established a system to back smooth returns to work and continuous employment after maternity and parental leave across the organization, achieving a 100% return-to-work rate for both men and women*2. - Work-Life Balance Tools and a Culture of Mutual Respect:
We developed "Assist Books" to guide employees balancing work with childcare and nursing care, and through internal communication activities, we foster a workplace culture where programs are easy to use and encourage mutual understanding among employees. - Specialized Care Programs:
We introduced "THE CARE," an Employee Assistance Program that provides comprehensive support for employee health and parenting. - Short Working Hour System:
Employees can opt for shorter working hours (6 or 7 hours per day) until their child completes the third grade of elementary school, supporting flexible work during child-rearing years.
[ Flexible Work Styles and Leave Systems Suited to Diverse Lifestyles ]
- Hybrid Work and Flextime:
We enable flexible working styles that adapt to individual life changes by utilizing a flextime system and remote work for up to three days a week. - Remote Work Location System:
We established a system allowing employees to work fully remotely from distant locations due to circumstances like nursing care or a spouse's job relocation, preventing career interruptions. - Unique Leave Systems for Employee Well-Being:
In addition to standard annual paid leave, we provide six days of special paid leave ("Happy Holiday") each year and a "Thanks Holiday" for long-tenured employees, striving to improve work-life balance.
