Macromill was established at the beginning of 2000, the dawn of online research. We voluntarily created the trend in the marketing research shift to the Internet against the backdrop of explosive growth of Internet users, and since then we enjoyed growth as a B2B enterprise.
Originally, the business area of marketing research was a technical and labor-intensive field; in other words, it was a monopolistic field of issues raised from a certain channel solved by professionals bearing certain skills. Our concern was to introduce IT solutions, including the Internet, and to undertake the paradigm shift in the traditional business model.

On one hand, clients are aware that marketing research is important, but on the other hand, they also consider it a cost. In addition, there is a strong tradition of wanting to “leave the matter to professionals, if possible.” Pursuing the solutions—what is the spec of the services, how it should proceed, what is the content of policies—for client needs, which is not willing to compromise on speed, cost, and quality, is required of us as an online research enterprise.
Since our establishment, we have been working on an enterprising approach centered on IT technology ahead of the times, keeping in mind that a networked society where all people, objects, and information are linked is coming sooner or later. We have always listened to the needs and wants of our clients and expanded our domain to commoditize service contents and processes.

Our clients compete in a global environment and have expectations and demands, such as solutions for diversified consumer needs (mass to segment and to customizing), shorter marketing activity cycle, and continuous needs for cost down to Japanese marketing research enterprises.
